Also do not take to heart everything people say, Lest you hear your servant cursing you. For many times, also your own heart has known That even you have cursed others.  Ecclesiastes 7:21

Self-Realization is the knowing in body, mind, and soul – that we are one with the omnipresence of God; that we do not have to pray that it come to us, that we are not merely near it at all times but that God’s omnipresence is our omnipresence; that we are just as much a part of him now as we ever will be. All we have to do is improve our knowing.

– Paramahansa Yogananda

Whoever guards his mouth and tongue, Keeps his soul from trouble.
Proverbs 21:25
“He only is wise who devotes himself to realizing, not reading only, the ancient revelations. Solve all your problems through meditation.”
— Lahiri Mahasaya
Whoever shuts his ears to the cry of the poor, will also cry himself and not be heard.
Proverbs 21:13
“Clear your mind of dogmatic theological debris; let in the fresh, healing waters of direct perception. Attune yourself to the active inner Guidance; the Divine Voice has the answer to every dilemma of life. Though man’s ingenuity for getting himself into trouble appears to be endless, the Infinite Succor is no less resourceful.”
— Lahiri Mahasaya
He who follows righteousness and mercy, Finds life, righteousness and honor.
Proverbs 21:21
“Man’s conscious state is an awareness of body and breath. His subconscious state, active in sleep, is associated with his mental, and temporary, separation from body and breath. His superconscious state is a freedom from the delusion that ‘existence’ depends on body and breath. God lives without breath; the soul made in His image becomes conscious of itself, for the first time, only during the breathless state.
When the breath link  between soul and body is severed by evolutionary karma, the abrupt transition called death ensues; the physical cells revert to their natural powerlessness.

Excerpt from Yoganandas Autobiography of a Yogi

The rich and poor have this in common, The Lord is the maker of them all.
Proverbs 22:2
” The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. The human body is composed of chemical and metallic substances that are also found in ‘the dust of the ground’ .The flesh of man could never carry on activity nor manifest energy and motion were it not for the life currents transmitted by soul to body through the instrumentality, in unenlightened men, of the breath (gaseous energy).

Excerpt from Yoganandas Autobiography of a Yogi

Do not speak in the hearing of a fool, For he will despise the wisdom of your words
Proverbs 23:9
“The causes of suffering are five:
ignorance of our real nature
egoism
attachment
aversion
and the fear of death, which makes us cling to life.”

The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.
Ecclesiastes 3:1

I have taught Yoga and Pilates in excess of 20 years and have taught primarily in my community for the majority of that time. My dharma (meaningful soul inspired purpose) is to share my life of Yoga and knowledge of living Yoga and Pilates with my student family. This will give them some of the tools to assist them in their discovery of the means necessary to improve their knowledge to free themselves from “physical, mental and spiritual dis harmonies.” Once they achieve liberation from the imbalances in their lives, this will create equilibrium in their lives resulting in enduring happiness and all around success for themselves during this incarnation and the next.
